Ranorex NOT compatible with Flash Player 17

Our pc is upgraded due to a corporate upgrade and the version of flash player is upgrade to 17 accordingly.

When I use Ranorex 5.2 spy to capture a flex page, there is an error message pop up, and the object is not captured correctly, I can see a layer is captured as obj[...] which is not correct.

So I unistall the flash player and rerun the Ranorex Instrument Wizard. Found the wizard installed flash player 16.0 on my PC. i can see that on IE Addon manager.

It's actullay not because 17 is not compatible with Ranorex 5.2. it's because Ranorex need Flash Debug Player to automate flex pages. So the 17 replaced the 16. And 16 can't be installed correctly due to downgrade. you just need to unistall 17 manually, then all set.

Or, you can find a newer version of Ranorex Instrument Wizard and give it a try.
