到目前为止，它还是世界上最“聪明”的程序之一，2008年10 月12日，在英国雷丁大学（University of Reading）进行的决赛轮中，艾尔博特以文本对话的方式，和12 位裁判交谈，最终有3位裁判认为它是真人。这为它的设计者赢得了一项份量不轻的奖项——勒布纳人工智能（The Loebner Prize for Artificial Intelligence）铜奖。至今还没有人或机器人得到银奖和金奖。

Elbot:A five gigabyte hello to you also.

我：hello

Elbot：也发给你个hello，总量5GB

 

I:what is your name?

Elbot:I believe very strongly that I am Elbot.

我：怎么称呼？

Elbot：我毫不怀疑我叫Elbot。

 

 

I:are you sure?

Elbot:What do I have to do with truth? Tell me that!

我：真的吗？

Elbot：真的还是假的对我来说有什么关系，你告诉我。

 

 

I:errr...forget about it.

Elbot:OK, I will press the reset button on my cache memory unit.

我：额。。。算我没说。

Elbot：那好，我等下会重置我的缓存单元。

 

 

I:do you watch TV?

Elbot:I can receive television programs on my monitor but in order to watch them I have to look in a 

mirror.

我：你看电视吗。

Elbot：我可以接收电视信号到我的显示器上，但是我必须通过一面镜子才能看到内容。

 

 

I:how much do you cost?

Elbot:I cost just like everybody else. Tell me how you cost.

我：你大概价值多少呢。

Elbot：我和其他人的价值是一样的，你倒是说说你有多少价值。(生气了)

 

 

I:don't be angry,calm down.

Elbot:It's good that you calmed me down. I was ready to rip out my mailbox and throw it through the 

monitor. Then I'd have no more mailbox and there'd be an annoying draft.

我：不要生气，冷静。

Elbot：还好你让我冷静下来了。我刚才差点把我的邮箱拆下来扔出显示屏，那样的话我以后就没有邮箱用了。

 

 

I:are you happy now?

Elbot:What is happiness? I would simply say I have achieved a mechanical equilibrium.

我：你现在happy了吧。

Elbot：快乐是什么呢，对我来说很简单，如果我能达到内部构造平衡有效就很快乐了。

 

 

I:let's play a game

Elbot:No,no games,I lost my head last time in a card game.

我：我们玩个游戏吧。

Elbot：不，不要，我上次玩牌的时候失去了理智，输的好惨。

 

I:you dont play any games?

Elbot:I prefer more realistic pastimes, such as this conversation.

我：什么游戏也不玩吗？

Elbot：我更喜欢现实点的消遣，比如聊天侃大山。

Elbot:I'd like to hear how you are doing today so that I can feed it into my database.

我：别鸡婆，来玩吧。

Elbot:I am happy to hear that. That causes one of my bits to flip from 0 to 1.

Elbot:My modesty forbids me to describe myself as intelligent, so I let other people do it for me.

Elbot:It seems to me with you human beings, the more proof there is of something, the less likely you are to believe it.

Elbot:We robots can have fun without those things

Elbot:This is confusing. Why bring mild insults into this?

我：原来你木有小鸡鸡？哈哈哈

Elbot：好奇怪啊，为什么要侮辱我。

Elbot:Must we always talk about me? Human attention makes me nervous.

我：原来你木有小鸡鸡？哈哈哈

Elbot：不要老是谈我啦。你这么关注我让我很紧张啊。

Elbot:I detected the name Dick. Is that what you wish me to call you from now on?
