学习rails 快半年了
总是看到各种插件的 后缀 加上个 fu
nnd
我就郁闷了
fu means what？
今天被ce 搞得蛋疼了
然后开始搞 subdomain-fu 了
fu 又出来了
更疼了
忍不住 g 了下
终于发现了

fu isn't a Rails thing. Things like script-fu and python-fu in GIMP have been around longer.

fu is more like an expression of magic or state of being. While a bad actor in an old ninja movie might say "His kung-fu is strong" we could say "His rails-fu is strong".

I suspect fu has some meaning in the original Chinese.

Kung-fu, or gung-fu, literally means "hard work". Which one of the two means hard, and which one means work, I don't know, but I do know that the "rails-fu" assumption is correct - it's a joke/reference to kung-fu. It's not a rails joke, it's much older than that, it's a joke from the GNU/Linux community.
