The IBIS to SPICE application generates SPICE models from IBIS (I/O Buffer Information Specification) data sheets. It reads a template file to define the SPICE models to be generate. The template file is named template.mdl and must be in the same directory as the application itself.
The user is prompted for an IBIS file to process. The IBIS to SPICE application does not perform a complete validation of the IBIS file. Only that information which is necessary for the generation of a SPICE model is validated and extracted from the IBIS file.
When the information from the IBIS file has been extracted, the user has the ability to generate SPICE models from any or all of the IBIS models, for typ, min, and/or max speeds.
