ruby 的盛行很大程度上归功于rails，ror几乎在一夜之间盛行起来，关于轻量级的web开发，介于java和ruby 我认为：
1。java的关联比较复杂，烦琐，尤其对于一些逻辑简单的开发，这简直是大才小用。
2。ruby 逻辑层管理不是很好，但是自身处理各种事务比较方便，而且对象的关系影射也不是很复杂。又感觉它的优势。
3。但是考虑到维护的因素，java的一些开源框架似乎又更加便利一点。
